Dave Alxandr is set to release his highly anticipated new single "Once You Went Away" on May 26th, 2023. The sunny sound of djembe and acoustic guitars juxtapose swooping melancholic lap steel, creating a light hearted yet affecting Pop/Country backdrop to a story about being heart broken on a “picture perfect day”.

“Once You Went Away” is the second song to come out by Dave Alxandr, the first of which however to be self-produced. Recorded in Spotify’s Toronto Noteable studio, featuring a face melting solo by legendary Toronto guitar player Adrian “X” Ecceleston (Drake, The Weeknd, Liz Lokre), mixed by Trevor James Anderson and mastered by the legendary Ted Jensen in Nashville, TN.

The second installment of six songs coming, “Once You Went Away” solidifies Dave Alxandr’s unique perspective and place in Country Music.
